The Alpen Lodge provides sleeping rooms with shared spaces in Helvetia, WV. The Alpen Lodge is located in the Kultur Haus Helvetia, the building which also houses the General Store, Post Office, and Mask Museum. One downstairs room and three upstairs rooms are currently available.

All guests share the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The first floor sleeping room has a private bathroom and is located in the rear of the building, away from the street. The upstairs rooms have corner locations and share one bathroom and the front porch.

The upper floor of the Alpen Lodge was built as a boarding house with meals served in the downstairs living quarters area. The basement had both wood and a gas cook stoves. The upstairs features oak floors and trim, plaster walls, a wide hallway, and an front porch with a sweeping view of the village.

While the upstairs sleeping rooms need little restoration, there is only one bathroom for six sleeping rooms. As funding becomes available, the area will be converted to four corner sleeping rooms, each with a private bath.

Guests have access to wireless Internet and research materials. A library, both paper and electronic, on Helvetia history and genealogy is being developed.
